A lightweight ski with a strong laminated woodcore to help intermediate skiers approach difficult trails with confidence, the Ripstick 86 TW Junior Ski is a great choice for anyone from tween to small adult. The 158 cm size ski has a 86 mm waist width which is designed to dominate on groomers, but is capable for skiers who want to explore off-trail terrain. The Mountain Rocker construction has a full rocker tip for ease of engaging a turn, and floating in soft snow. A semi-rocker tail will grip through a carve, but will make sure the ski doesn't hook up. This is one of Elan's more advanced, lightweight, junior models, and skiers will find the Ripstick 86 TW Junior Ski will have a responsive woodcore for quick turns, but the fiberglass reinforcement will provide strength for variable conditions. Integrated into the sidewall is Elan's SST construction, which beefs up the sidewall without adding extra weight. The turning radius varies depending on the height of the ski, but the 158 cm length Ripstick 86 TW Junior Ski has a relatively tight turning radius of 15 meters. This package includes a high performing binding for intermediate skiers who are advancing. Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
