34.17ct Valuable Quality Dominican Republic Larimar Cabochon. Found only in the south western mountainside of the Dominican Republic, Larimar is the blue variety of pectolite, also referred to sometimes as Atlantis stone due to it's distinctive blue coloration. Very popular in the Caribbean, especially among cruise passengers, but seldom offered on Ebay. Attractive mix of bright blues and whites with area of natural matrix cut in, opaque to gemmy translucent, free of significant unnatural flaws with attractive face up and eye appeal. Custom fancy cabochon well cut from premium top grade rough, fully polished front and back and not cut too thick like most native cut larimar typically offered, approx. 34.43 x 29.84 x 3.44mm. Valuable designer's stone!
