OLD classic Navajo sterling silver concho belt consisting of a large buckle, 7 oval conchos, and 8 long butterfly spacers attached to .75” wide light brown colored leather strap. All silver elements have nice repousse (bump out) designs, scalloped borders, and intricate geometric stamped designs. Each silver element has blue to green NATURAL turquoise stones. Four of the oval concho turquoise stones show some surface wear or crazing from age and wear. One stone in the buckle is chipped. You could leave it as is, replace the stone, or use a colored marker to tint the visible cardboard stone backing to try to match the color of the turquoise. All stones appear to be secure in their bezels. The turquoise appears to be from a variety of mines. I see stones that could be from the Blue Gem, Stormy Mountain, and Fox turquoise mines.
Excellent quality and very good overall vintage condition. Nice dark aged patina! Concho belt has a faint smell of tarnish and possible cigarette smoke, which will probably diminish over time or could be deodorized. Unsigned, as is typical of jewelry of this era – ca. 1940’s. This belt has the look of a Roger Skeet piece. LOW starting price. Early Navajo belts like this are very popular and collectible!

Upon further research, this belt looks very similar to lot # 389 in the C.G. Wallace collection auction and that belt was attributed to Hosteen Goodluck. Please view the photos to decide any attribution for yourself.
