    Description

Up for bid is a Garden City Pottery 10" wide bulb bowl covered in Garden City Blue glaze. Even though this bowl measures 10" across it's marked with a 9 indicating a 9" bowl. And, according to all of my reference material on Garden City Pottery these bowls were never sold in a 9" size. This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. This bowl has a small glaze skip on it's foot (see photo No. 8) that is original to production. Unfortunately, with these wavy edge bulb bowls, housewives in the 1920's thought that it was O K to stack these bowls with their other pottery bowls. The result was small wear marks to the glaze on some of the inside points of the wave. This bowl has that "stacking" wear to three of the inside points (please see photos 9, 10, & 11). These aren't chips, they're just small worn spots on the glaze. This bowl weighs a whopping 3 pounds, 11 ounces. No wonder grandma's arms looked like Popeye's.
I also offer free local pick up, on all of my auctions, for high bidders living in the Southern California area. Simply send me an email, after you have won the auction(s), and request an invoice indicating free local pick up.
I try to be as honest and detailed (both written and photographic) in my description of any item(s) I list on eBay but, with that said, if you have ANY questions concerning this item(s) PLEASE ask me BEFORE the auction is closed. Also, I'm listing this item(s) with a low starting price, no reserve, and the cheapest shipping that will still insure a safe delivery. I do accept returns but there needs to be a clear and obvious difference in the item(s) you are high bidder on and the same item(s) you receive in order for me to accept a return. Buyers remorse will NOT be accepted as a reason for returning an item(s).  And last, I've been selling on eBay for 15+ years, I have 100% positive feedback, and I encourage you to checkout the glowing comments from my satisfied customers. Thank you and good bidding.
