    Description

    Welcome!
This is a gorgeous ring that came from a private collection of Native American jewelry that was collected in or prior to the 1960s and has been stored for decades. The silver work on it is distinctive and very beautiful, but I haven't identified the artist, and am hoping someone will. The leaves are delicately created and hand stamped; they seem to flutter. There is decorative stamping on both sides on silver bars that frame the ring. Those two silver bars remind me of sticks and of something Japanese. The long lovely piece of Tigers' Eye was hand cut and buffed and has great chatoyancy: it glows as you move your finger. It's serrated bezel set, framed in twisted wire at the base. The shank of the ring is thick and could easily tapped to increase the ring size which is currently a 5 to 5-1/2. The shank is chisel split into two near the front for stability, so the ring won't turn on the finger. The ring's weight is significant at 11.3 grams. It's a solid piece, feels great to the hand, looks great on the hand. The ring is unmarked for silver content as well as unsigned, which is usual for the age of the piece. It is at least coin silver. It's a superb piece in excellent vintage condition, and a stunning addition to any collection. It's rare in many respects, with a stone not very often used and silver work that is superb and also uncommon. You'll love it.
