This small and well made illuminator is in good working condition and showing very little wear! Our DL-1 comes with a fresh battery and the light inside does turn on. This illuminator is designed to be used with older style Photomic prism meters most commonly found on Nikon F original bodies as well as some meter prisms available for the Nikon F2 models.
