    Description

A scarce old art glass pedestal paperweight by Charles Kaziun Jr. the "Father of the American Paperweight Renaissance". It depicts a red crimp rose with green leaves. Signed on underside with "K" trademark inside a cane. Size: larger than average at 3" tall and 2" diameter. Condition: Very good - however it has what appears to be a circular cooling or annealing line on interior that seems to "frame" the rose. It's not a true crack (cannot feel it) but a natural fissure of some type, quite interesting (kind of looks like the rose is sitting in a bowl of water - see last pic) and not at all distracting. Note: any white spots are reflections in photography. DIRECT FROM KAZIUN'S ESTATE IN BROCKTON, MA.
