Thomas Gotham Green Crystalline Glaze Vase in Exceptional Original Condition. Signed with the artist's Monogram signature.  While Thomas Gotham sometimes used different notations on the bottom of his vases including glaze references, the inclusion of a signature or monogram is quite uncommon.  Excellent, exceptional condition. No dings,cracks, hairlines or repairs. Typical stint pulls on the bottom, during firing, resulting in small grinding chips, not considered a flaw. Very light glaze crazing in the green background mentioned for the sake of accuracy.  We have been specializing in furniture and accessories from the Arts & Crafts Movement in Europe and America for over 35 years.  During the early years we were fortunate to find examples of Thomas Gotham's works. There wasn't much information about his works readily available.  We collected around a dozen examples simply because we enjoyed the simple forms and interesting glazes, including several rare larger forms.  During the last few years, we have departed with all but this one and a couple less interesting forms.  This vase is by far, my favorite of the group.  The deep brilliant green background,  the colorful crystals and their even dispersal, along with it's signature, make this an exceptional example.  We have enjoyed it for years and are pleased to see it find a new home.  Measures: 8 1/4" high by 4 3/4" wide. PS:  I added an additional image with text.  In the main image stating that the "color is accurate", two white spots appeared just above the word "color", about 1/4th up from the bottom.  As shown in the additional image, the spots were just glare from the lighting.
