    Description

    Welcome!
WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT IT: This rare early bracelet has an elegant simplicity that is haunting. It's all hand constructed with what feels like coin silver, and has certain stamp work which brings to mind some pieces I've owned by DeDeos and Lambert Homer Sr. The foundation consists of two outside carinated wires and the center wire is two square twisted wires. The carinated wires are beautifully hand stamped, as are the two wings next to the outside of the three stones, framing them with very special beauty. The terminals are capped; all the work is excellent. There is an ephemeral quality to this piece. There are whisps in the agate, as if the whole bracelet is being protected by fairies and secret forest folk. The look has a delicacy about it, but it's not frail.
CONDITION: excellent vintage, wearable, collectible. One of the outside stones has a crack but it looks like part of the banding of the agate so the fingernail finds it more easily than the eye can find it.
    MEASUREMENTS:
    • width at center 1-1/4", tapering toward the terminals which are 3/8" wide
    • internal length silver
    alone
    5-1/4", gap 1" total 6-1/4"
    • weight 38.16grams
    • not marked for metal content which is usual, but guaranteed to be at least coin at .900 or sterling at .925 silver
    • unsigned, which is common for those times, but the artist is Navajo or Zuni
    • dates to the 1930s or 40s
SUMMARY: This bracelet is beautifully hand constructed with wonderful stamp work and lovely agate stones. It's a very early piece and it's one of those elegant masterpieces that will always be very special and highly collectible.
It's a very fine piece; museum worthy and the pricing is way lower than it should be.

Yes, I sometimes can take reasonable offers.
I request payment by PayPal in two days, but planned in advance of purchase, alternate payment methods and time payments can generally be arranged.
I generally ship same day. Domestic: FREE expedited US shipping. I’m including insurance on all my shipments till the PO resumes full functionality.
International buyers pay actual shipping cost if I’m shipping myself rather than using eBay’s Global Shipping service, and International buyers are responsible for any customs fees their own countries may apply. Please discuss changing shipping method prior to purchase. My shipping defaults to Express International, which is tracked and insured, but I can use Priority Mail International. It's less expensive and is also tracked. First Class International is no longer offered by the US Postal Service. I charge the actual shipping cost and since shipping to each country costs a different amount, I will charge a little extra and refund the exact difference once I can put your address in and print a shipping label. I am no longer shipping to Italy and China, but can make exceptions if you speak with me about it, especially if you are a prior customer.

When I include pages from published books in my listings it is in accordance with Fair Use Law, which permits the use of source material for discussion, reference, education and criticism.
Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target. All the books have errors, so in addition to counterchecking, I have developed some expertise over the years and I do care about getting it right, so as more information comes to light I update my listings and also get in touch with my previous buyers, to inform them of any changes in attributions. I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.
