Adorable round, squat pale pink, lidded vanity jar
By Wildwood Ceramics of Pasadena, California.
Capidomonte is the Italian technique of building decorative flowers and fruits in a highly realistic, 3-D way using porcelain.
This is the Mid-century (1940s - 1960s) version of that.
Hand sculpted pansy on top of jar is delicate and undulating as in real life.
Pale pink jar with pansy in white, purple, yellow and brown, and green leaves.
All leaves and petals are intact and unchipped!
A few of the edges are folded back and have been skipped over by the painter, but are still unchipped.
Would have stayed on a lady's vanity table and usually contained face powder.
Measures 5.75" wide X 4" tall X 4.825" diameter opening with lid off
